It’s that time of the year again: Irrigation shut-off is scheduled for October 10. Please finish up whatever lawn projects you have that require irrigation, and start making those appointments for sprinkler blowouts. NMID has indicated it will take a couple days for the system to drain.
Reminders:
Golf carts and side-by-sides can be a fun way to pick up the kids from school or make a quick grocery run. However, it has come to our attention these vehicles can often be observed speeding through the neighborhood with what looks like underage, unlicensed drivers at the wheel. Please keep safety in mind and use your best judgement if you own these vehicles.
The last few years changed many things in our society, including the number of home-based employees. It is always important to be respectful and considerate of your neighbors, and this becomes even more essential when those neighbors work from home. If you own dogs, please be mindful they are not barking excessively in your backyard. While a barking dog in the background of a conference call may seem like a funny side conversation, it can become very distracting and potentially cause problems for a home-based worker. Dogs that sound vicious and leap against the back fence as people and other dogs are walking by cause stress and detract from the peaceful environment in our community. We all love our dogs, and it’s important we help them be just as lovable to our neighbors.
Correction: The original post stated golf carts and side-by-sides are not legal for street driving, but that was not completely correct, as off-highway vehicles can be driven on the roadway with a restricted plate.
