It’s finally starting to warm up after the recent cold spell and Tuscany is getting green and growing again!
The downside to the beauty is the maintenance needs it engenders. It takes work to keep the weeds at bay and the vegetation under control. Lawns need to be treated for invasive plants, and sprinkler systems turned on and checked to ensure grass is getting the water it needs to thrive. Trees need to be treated for bugs, and limbs hanging over the sidewalk need to be trimmed up to a minimum height of eight (8) feet to allow pedestrian traffic to walk underneath without having to duck their heads. Tree limbs hanging over the roadway need to be trimmed up to a minimum of 14 feet to avoid obstructing traffic.
As a reminder, the swales and any trees within them are the responsibility of the homeowner to maintain.
It’s also time for home improvements. If you finally decide to tackle that project you’ve been thinking about, please review the ACC Guidelines and submit your approval request early to allow plenty of time for the committee to review and respond. Both documents can be found on the Architectural Committee page. Please also be courteous to your neighbors and keep the mess and imposition to a minimum. Once the primary work is done, don’t disregard the importance of getting your landscaping back up to par quickly.
We all benefit from the care each of us takes to keep our homes looking their best!
