Hello Spring!
Yes, it’s finally here. Time to spruce up our yards and homes after a long winter. Nothing looks nicer than a yard that is loved. Your lawn may need some fertilizer with a preemergent to give it a boost and keep the weeds under control. Trim your bushes, shrubs, and trees. Check your sprinkler systems to make sure nothing was broken during those cold months. It is a good idea to have your air conditioners serviced before the hot weather. There is nothing worse than being without your cool air when the temperature hits the triple digits and a repairman cannot get to you for a week. If your home is in need of painting, please submit an ACC request form to have your color choices approved (unless you are keeping the same colors).
A safety issue being noticed within Tuscany is small pieces of rebar sticking up out of some sidewalks. These are property markers, and they are raised either due to the ground freezing and pushing them up or due to the cement settling around them leaving them partially exposed. Please be mindful of this, as it could cause a safety hazard and you are responsible for it as the property owner. If your property marker is sticking up all you need to do is take a hammer and give it a few taps to drive it back down into the ground.
The pools will be opening soon. Remember, there is no lifeguard on duty, so children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Last year – as we seem to see every year – the gates to the pools would occasionally get propped open. There should be no need to do this, as each homeowner is required to have their key with them to access the pool. New furniture is being purchased for the pools, which will be a nice upgrade. Please be sure to review the pool rules on HomeAtTuscany.com. All pool users are responsible for knowing and following the rules. The rules are there to protect the safety and enjoyment of everyone using the pools. Egregious violations will result in the loss of pool access.
We have such a wonderful neighborhood with four pools, numerous parks, walking paths – along which we will soon have benches – and of course some of the best neighbors you could ask for. Let’s all work together to keep it one of the best kept secrets in Meridian!
